The foundation of community wealth building is the mutual sharing and ownership of the means of exchange: money. A credit union is a cooperatively owned savings and credit company.
Ethical banking
Cooperatives and community businesses need a range of banking services to receive donations & payments and pay for goods &services. We want to explore how banking services can be designed by credit unions to serve the day-to-day banking needs of cooperatives and community businesses.
Saving together
Credit unions offer a range of savings accounts. You can choose to save as little or as much as you can afford. We want to share this information with participants.
Affordable loans
Credit unions offer loan products suited to your individual needs and at rates you can easily afford.
Run by you, for you
As a credit union member, you are in control of your own finances and have a say in how your financial service provider is run.
Putting you first
Credit unions serve you ‘the member’ by listening to your needs and developing the products and services that you want.
